What we found testing Trading 212
We ran the Trading 212 signup and deposit flow ourselves in June 2026. Account setup and identity verification took around 10 minutes, and our deposit cleared within 2 hours. The welcome share is only released once an eligible promo code has been applied to the account.
The app itself stood out. It is a modern, well-built interface that genuinely feels easy to navigate for a first-time investor, which is not something we can say for every broker we test. The reward value stays locked for around 30 days, but you can sell the share and reinvest the proceeds immediately if you want to. Trading 212 is regulated and widely used across the UK and EU.
